The Slovakian National Park of the Tatra
The Slovakian National Park of the Tatra is home to some of the most spectacular natural alpine mountains in all of Eastern Europe, and yet the smallest in the world.
This Slovakian nature park encompasses the three ranges of the region, which includes The High Tatras, The Western Tatras, and Belianske Tatras of Slovakia. This is the oldest national park in Slovakia, and was founded in 1949 to protect its pristine nature.
It’s located in the northern region of Slovakia, and its highest peak is Gerlach mount that stands like a great monument of nature.
The Slovak Paradise National Park of Slovakia
Slovak Paradise is another marvel of Slovakian nature. This national park of Slovakia is filled with narrow canyons, waterfalls, gorges, deep caverns, and twisting paths. When you walk the wild natural paths there are man-made ladders and chains to assist you on your journey through some of Slovakia’s best wildlife. Walk at jaw-dropping heights over streams way down below!
The Hornad river of Slovakia is thousands of years old and has hewn the natural canyon of Prielom Hordnadu. It’s possible to raft down its white waters, if you’re really into adventure.
The National Park of the Low Fatra
The National Park of the Low Fatra is a special park in Slovakia.
The Mala Fatra, or low Fatra, mountain range was declared a National Park in Slovakia in 1988.
The foundation of the mountain range is made of natural granitoid rock, dolomites, and limestone.
This Slovakian park is quite rich in flora and fauna, including bear, lynx, eagle, otter, owl, and grouse.
