Beer in Slovakia

Slovakia is a notorious producer of barley, and that means great things for Slovakian beer.
Slovakia did for a while live under the cloud of the Czech Republic’s famous beers from the Bohemian region, but today things are changing in the Slovakian beer industry.
Slovakia’s long history of beer making started in the 11th century, when local serfs would brew their own, until it was banned by greedy Feudal authorities. That helps to explain why beer is so prized, and made with such care today.
It’s a symbol of freedom!
And when you travel to Slovakia, you’ll taste what all the fuss is about.
