Costs and Money in Slovakia

Credit Cards

Slovakia was admitted into the European Union in 2004.
That change plus the boom in cheap carrier flights has bumped up the prices in certain Slovakian cities like Bratislava and Kosice.
But still, food, admissions, and transportation are just as cheap as can be in Slovakia.
The official currency is the Slovakian Koruna, or SK.
If you play your cards right in Slovakia, you can get away with $30 a day in Bratislava.
That’s no joke. But if you’re looking to go a little more luxury, you could bump that up to $80 a day. That’s nothing.
